Michelle Levesque

Michelle is currently working with the Mozilla Foundation to create a web literate planet.  She plans to teach the world how to become producers (and not just consumers) on the web, so that they can share ideas and express themselves to the rest of the world.

Before working at Mozilla, Michelle was a staff engineer at Google, and worked for the Citizen Lab, building tools to study internet censorship.  She likes running, strength training, cooking and eating.  (Why can’t eating be a hobby?)  She currently lives in San Francisco with two kittens, Karma and Nox, who very muchso own the place and are kind enough to let her stay.

Her high school career aptitude test said she’d make an excellent busker or dentist, so she’s clearly not really fully applying herself in her current role.
